Landlord failed to return security

I did a lease takeover for an apartment from 9300 realty and when my lease was over they made no attempt to send a bill or return my security deposit. I moved in and out of the city for work and forgot about it until last week while doing a self audit in my spare time. I'm just curious if I still have a right to that deposit or is there a time limit for me to claim my deposit. I left the apartment as I received it. Emails to the landlords office were never returned. thanks for any advice.
