The Brompton Today

I think they get you cabs and bring up packages, but they don't open cab doors.

Super is great.

Lived there for two years up to a year and a half ago. During those two years, if a doorman spotted you (50/50) they'd open the cab door. If not, they'd always have the luggage cart ready or would happily take your bags all they way up to the apartment. They'd also escort all delivery people in the service elevator and would bring packages with them if applicable. Common area is decent - kids kind of take over on the weekends and after school (at least outside). Had two supers ("Resident Manager") during the time we were there - both excellent. One maintenance guy is the guy who appears to do the actual super work and he can be pretty cranky but I suspect it's because of the horrible shit he must deal with from entitled families in the building.

After your experience, would you recommend buying at the Brompton? Do the doorman offer to get you a cab? Do you usually get your packages from the front desk right away? Can you call to the doorman downstairs and have them come to your apartment and bring down your luggage?
