Does this building still have noise, heat/AC and water issues? The previous discussions are a few years old and I am interested to see if management made any changes.

The building replaced the boiler early this year. I haven't had any issues at all. I love that the building provides all the cooling for the A/C. It means I can keep my place at 70 degrees all year round with almost no electric cost (just the cost of the fan spinning on the radiator unit).

I like these 1960s white brick buildings like Dorchester Towers. How do others like that style nowadays? Any other buildings with that style? Another one i saw was http://streeteasy.com/building/215-east-68-street-new_york which is rental.

I'm confused. You're asking if there are any other 1960's white brick buildings?

Apparently 30yrs. Maybe you could direct her to a pre-War, or an all glass building from the past few years.

I like the 1960's buildings also, you get a lot more space for the money. By the 1970's apartments began to shrink.

I agree about more space for money but people liking the white brick buildings are a minority.

I'm not fixated on "white brick", just 1960's construction. As to people liking "new", if they have a need for space and have the budget to afford a newish condo, great for them. If you can get a convertible 3 bedroom ( 2 bedroom/2 bath with alcove) that has a real livable 1200 sqft for under $1.5 million, then it's a tradeoff between the sizzle or the steak.
