I'm looking to sell my one bedroom in a new building in East Williamsburg but I don't have experience with any brokers in the area. Anyone know someone who will actually do a good job?
Check out buildings on Streeteasy that are similar and nearby. Then look at the sales history. It will tell you what other one bedrooms sold for, and also if it they sold for more or less than the original listing price. You can also get an idea of listing history. (Was it listed many times, for different prices, by different brokers, before it sold?) Then, look at those listings which are most relevant and see who the broker was. Everyone knows a broker who will "actually do a good job." But the broker who helped a friend sell their Upper East Side prewar may not be the best one for your particular apartment.
Try Dan Gotlieb from Digs Realty - dan@digsrealtynyc.com. He's amazing and charges less than most brokers. Not sure if he operates in East Williamsburg, so you'd have to ask him about that.
Hey Fogwell, I have a condo at 415 Leonard Street and have sold 14 Monitor Street, 135 N 11th and more. You can email me at snezan.cebic@elliman.com. I've lived in the neighborhood for 10 years and worked as a broker for eight. Try to bring as much data and personality to the sales process as I can.
Hi Fogwell, I would be happy to help. It would be great to sit down with you and discuss your goals. Please message me at jkaufman@citihabitats.com.
