building at 155 Attorney Street

Discussion about 155 Attorney Street in Lower East Side
Does anyone know what use the basement will have? There are 7 doors that open out onto the courtyard. The building is approximately 75 feet wide, so the doors are roughly 10 feet apart. Might there be plans for 7 tiny duplex apartments on the 1st floor? I first thought that there would be a gym or rec room in the basement, but why would it need 7 doors to the courtyard? Also, will the courtyard be a common space with parties allowed?

Well, I partly answered my own question. According to schedule A of the permit filed with DOB, the basement will house a STORAGE ROOM, BICYCLE ROOM,MECHANICAL ROOM, GAS METER ROOM, FIRE PUMP ROOM, ELECTRIC ROOM, WATER PUMP ROOM, COMPACTOR ROOM and (5) RECREATION ROOMS. (Sorry for the caps -- I cut and pasted). I guess each rec. room and two other rooms will have doors to the courtyard. Never have I seen so many egresses.
