Discussion about 403 East 87th Street in Yorkville

#D is a triplex hollowed out of three former studios over several years, according to the broker. It's a micromuseum jewel box filled with beautiful heavy drapery and dark wood furniture from the interior-designer owner. And the backyard seems quiet and private. But thanks to three staircases I doubt there's more than 800 sq ft of usable space, and the maintenance is high for an amenityless coop. "central air" is newly used in reference to through wall air conditioners. There is nothing to like about this place apart from the outdoor space.

It's not my aesthetic, but points for creative configuration of a difficult space. Still, getting in/out of that WIC off the staircase would give me the willies. A testament to the oddities of NYC real estate.
