if i have a vacant apartment , no furniture at all , is it better to ask them to do just as is or get some staging done even if its going to be basic

You could probably save money doing virtual staging on your computer, unless you plan to have the apartment actually staged for showings. In that case just get it staged first and then have pictures done. IMHO the staging makes a big difference in listing pics.

I'd say skip the virtual staging unless you're a real pro with it, and go with real furniture for your staging. The virtual stuff usually looks so fake, my first thought is "What are they trying to hide?"

I used them once and they were very good. Photographer was excellent on-site and he did very detailed touch-ups on the final product. Nothing extreme, just stuff like removing power cords for a clean look, making the room look warm, making the view blue sky when we took it during a cloudy day, etc. Highly recommend.
