look, It is a large 1 b/r apt 750-800 sq ft plus a terrace (do not just add up the room sq footage, add the interior walls and 50% of the outside). Maintenance of $2-$2.25 per sq ft per month is fairly common due to increasing taxes in a doorman building.
Still on the high side. And doorman is only part time.
It seems like about $400 of that maintenance is attributable to the terrace.
Agreed, and without the mtce that apt would be priced much higher.
That said, it would be hard to buy in a building with its history.
