Discussion about Atelier at 635 West 42nd Street in Hell's Kitchen
This seems like a unusually high number of listings for sale and rental to be open in a single building, is there a reason? Also how come most of them have the same stock photos and no floorplan posted? I'm interested in looking for a condo here, but am a little concerned with these and just want to know if there's a simple explanation to put my mind at ease.

From the building description: "The building was designed by the award-winning architectural firm, Costas Kondylis & Partners and is self-managed by the Board President Daniel Neiditch who continues to add amenities and cut costs. " All of the apartment listings are under this guy's RE agency, which would explain why so many pics are alike. As for why so many availabilities, not sure if these apartments never sold to begin with or if they are resales all going through this guy's agency because he "encourages" it as board president. You should ask the listing agent if these apartments have never been sold from the original sponsor or if they are resales.
Might have something to do with this -

Maybe people don't want to spend millions of dollars to live on 42nd and 12th.
Thanks for the replies, I think I will look elsewhere. That lawsuit really makes it look like the developer doesn't care about the building residents at all, I've already lived once in a situation like that and not eager to go through it again.
