Discussion about
Hi, I was recently away for 10 days, and when I returned, I noticed the wood parquet floor in my bedroom is cupping. The majority of the cupping is near my AC wall unit, but I have never seen any water on the floor or leakage from the unit. I also seem to have a few tiles cupping in other random areas of the bedroom. The floors were sanded / stained approx 4 years ago, and I am only noticing the cupping now. Could this be seasonal? I have never had a leak or flood, and not sure how to handle this. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I'd hazard a guess that it's seasonal, exacerbated by particularly high humidity recently. I've had a problem with several wood cabinet doors which only stick in August when the humidity peaks.

Likely seasonal as your ac was off during humid months. Have your super check ac for any leaks and give it a few days with ac on. If there are no leaks, you are running the ac 24/7 , and it does not fix itself, you need a floor guy.
