Discussion about 89 Bleecker Street #2F
This building is a dump. Plumbing, elevator, hot water and laundry room are all problems and frequently don't work. Ancient windows make it hot in summer with high electric bills and cold in winter. Mice and cockroaches. Management is awful and un-reponsive to tenant's needs. Good location, but not worth living in squalor.

I lived in the building around 2001-2003, I believe on the 2nd floor, front facing, nice apartment (though with few amenities and a little loud), great location, landlord was a son-of-a-bitch (and a little shady, possibly affiliated with Steve Croman's management company -- or one as bad), and raised our rent after lease expired, super was not interested (but wanted a tip at Christmas), and yes, there were little mice. Some of the apartments may be rent stabilized, something was a little shady. I could smell my upstairs neighbors through the vent in the bathroom, but don't recall hot water issues, roaches, or too much squalor. I remember getting great light and the huge windows, all in all was a pretty great apartment.
