Discussion about
I am new to condo ownership, and am trying to get an electrician to do some simple work. The condo requires the insurance info be sent to managing company for approval, which seems entirely reasonable. However, I have now been waiting a week without anyone even acknowledging receipt of the form. I have gone through the super as well as contacting mgmt co directly. I have tried phone/text/email/voicemail. I was told that someone may be on vacation.. but this seems a bit silly. I understand management companies are all pretty overworked/underpaid. They are all universally disparaged and rated very poorly on yelp, etc. I am unfortunately starting to think the one running our building is worse than average....
If they are anything like my management company, you might find that you'll need to visit their office to "follow up" on your phone/text/email/voicemail, and then politely loiter in their reception until it has been done.
Don't forget to take a newspaper, book, or some magazines.
What neighborhood is this in?
Williamsburg.
I did get approval finally after a week, more people and more email.
I previously rented in a condo and found the management company there to be poor..
However the in-building staff seemed more empowered to handle things.
I could schedule moves, etc just with the front desk.
I have to communicate w/ mgmt company office for everything here..
A lot of places I have lived in have to be nagged to get the approvals, even for simple work.
