I've been on StreetEasy since about 2007, and this community has been very instrumental in helping me shape The Burkhardt Group and is certainly a big part of our success! For this reason I was naturally inclined to want to include StreetEasy in this effort. We already donate a portion of each deal to a couple of charities, which is not something we talk about a lot, but it’s something that is very important to us. So I've been talking with my team trying to figure out a way that we could help out New York during this extremely difficult time. Here's what we've come up with: The Burkhardt Group will donate our entire buy-side commission—less paying the buyer our standard commission rebate—from one deal that goes into contract from today through September to the Greater New York Hospital Association COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. You can read more about what they do to support the work of New York’s hospitals and heroic health workers here: https://pfnyc.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/GNYHA-COVID-19-Emergency-Relief-Fund.pdf Because current stay-at-home restrictions (and commonsense safety precautions) do not allow for traditional resale searches at this time, we are extending this offer to new buyers who have narrowed their search to a sponsor condominium/new development deal valued at $1,000,000 or more. The higher the property value, the higher the commission percentage that we can donate towards assisting the frontline medical professionals and resource-strapped hospitals who need all the help we can give right now. So we are interested in speaking with any buyer in this position. We will, of course, offer our full services in assisting with your purchase, just as we would with any other buyer-client. We certainly have a diverse group of people who participate in the forum, but there is also a great deal of people who are on the sidelines. These are typically the ones that call us. If there's anything anyone can add to this offer please also get in touch with me. We're a 100% referral based company, and I don't really have any other advertising channels to broadcast this offer, so help us get the word out! If you think you may be this buyer, e-mail me with 'COVID-19 Charity' in the subject line. Keith at theburkhardtgroup.com Thank you! Keith Christian Norman [less]

Good for you Keith! Very cool thing to do.
So obviously, at this point, you have come to realize that this pandemic is more than "just a flu" as you had stated in a prior post.
Bravo for your dedication and philanthropic stance in this horrid nightmare in which we find ourselves. And I apologize for any prior rude comments. We are all a little testy these days.
@davencia I absolutely miscalculated the severity of this virus.

Ironically we were set to go to Italy for 3 weeks, one of my grandmother's is from Avellino and one from Naples.
Apologies all the text was compressed together above!
Keith
Another good charity is the community chest.
Thanks Stache!
And I miscalculated you, Keith. You are obviously an incredible man in every respect (and obviously a well-respected and very successful real estate agent).
Sorry for the mush, but I am sincere.
@davenezia as you pointed out these are incredibly crazy and stressful times for everyone! Thank you for forgiving my ignorance.

I’m being blocked by Streeteasy for criticizing them for not helping out individuals who want to post a lease break/rental or for sale by owner on their site... the fees are high and all they are offering is 1 extra week for free if you pay $185 (for 2 week rental listing) or $599 for a 4 week sale listing...
Quite chintzy since Zillow (the parent company) currently has a Market Capitalization of $7 billion!
When this crisis is over, people are going to remember who helped out individuals and who profited from the crisis. I commend you for your efforts!
Thank you. I think there are a lot of people rising to the occasion. I hope that trend continues post Coronavirus!
Just bumping this up, we would really love to make this happen! And if there are any new developments that would want to partner with us here to get the word out, shoot me an e-mail.
I figured this would take some time all things considered.
