Good luck with your post. I'm thinking that one thing that your father can do is contact everyone he knew from the days when he was a super in Manhattan & hopefully someone can give him a lead to a position. Maybe even just walk around the neighborhood & say "Hello" to everyone who looks familiar? Good luck to you!

I know with email these days it may seem too hard, but it is worth looking on the internet anyway. Maybe you can send something on behalf of your father and hopefully he will get a call back.

See below links for jobs I found with a quick google search...

Thanks guys, I have been sending resumes out for him. Problem is my father is old school, everyone he knew in the business is either dead or retired or there children took over and gave it over to a Property Management Co. SO I figured I would try forums and stuff like that I even tried sending e-mails for the same position 10x over just to get there attention, but it's hard today. With his experience he should have no problem getting a building , it's getting the chance to talk to someone to explain his background or getting the interview is the problem.

Hope someone will see this and hopefully bite seems like the place to ask.

He should contact the head of every major to medium-sized managing agent. Good supers are hard to find, especially "old school" and he should get his resume into every company that recruits supers for the buildings they manage.

NextEra, do you have a list of some property management companies? Possible phone numbers to any or faxes, anything? Or anyone on here?
