If you don’t get 5 out of 5, you are banned from posting for a week. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/01/12/realestate/neighborhoods/building-entrances-quiz.html
Much as these are indeed interesting entrances, they tend to be plain, restrained, almost Puritanical. Where can I find whimsy, playfulness, and cunning? Where are naked statues of nubile women and strapping men? Where are the windows and wood carvings in the shape of a giant phallus? Where are the female organs carved in stone?

Ha. I managed to get all 5 but not because I knew them just by the picture. Description helped and Graham House was the last one remaining. Otherwise had never heard of Graham house.
5 of 5 correct, but will admit to getting Graham Court only by process of elimination. Interesting building!
Too bad it is a rental. Guessing they have significant rent-stabilized tenants.
5 out of 5. Thank you for the Graham tip! Marjorie Morningstar was a big clue.
Three out of five. Bye bye for a week. Here is to hoping the country is still intact when I sign on again!
Sure, you have impeachment news to occupy you tonight, but you’ll be back tomorrow ;).
I got 5 out of 5, but it helped that I bought the book. However, I sent it back. It's too expensive and lacks substance. For each building, there is a brief descriptive paragraph, with an actual photograph and a drawing. For the San Remo, one of my favorite buildings, there was merely a small sketch. I guess it's interesting for people who want to know all about the background buildings of Manhattan (and even Brooklyn).
If I may digress, what I found interesting about Marjorie Morningstar is that her father sold millinery trimmings. So when fashion favored him, they moved to the San Remo. When fashion showed plain hats, they had to move to Morningside heights. First of all the idea that you could just move around like that is pretty much unheard of these days unless you're a kid bouncing between room mates.
Really, you don't have any friends who habitually upgrade/downgrade in sync with their fortunes? I wouldn't advise it, mind you, but living on the ragged edge of your means is practically a NY tradition.
@Richard: I see what you did there. Clever!
@Aaron I'm still sad nobody appreciated my reboot of the Donald Manes joke: https://streeteasy.com/talk/discussion/46104-will-civil-unrest-kill-nyc-real-estate-prices
