Discussion about Turtle Bay Towers at 310 East 46th Street in Turtle Bay
You get what you pay for. That is why the price/square foot is so low in that building.
I live in the building and the heat has been fine. As for the price for square foot..it seems more likely that the neighborhood it not "hot". Also, the maint. is on the higher side but not crazy for what you get. Most units have maint. that is about $1.50/ square foot. The 1 BR apartments are just bigger than the average.
The heat is insufficient so the comment above is a complete fabrication. Depite 30 and 40 degree weather there is never adequate heat ... even my dogs are cold!
i've found that the heat was more than ample, even in the coldest weather. i think it depends on how high up you are and what exposure you have.
I live in the middle the building and have one exposure. The heat is NOT ample. Even if there was heat, ample it should not be with crazy high maintenance. The brokers think this building has an awful rep.
i'll trade apartments with you then. we have to crack open the windows even in the coldest weather to alleviate the problem of too much heat.
I lived there for 22 years and hardly ever had to crank the heat up. It was always warm in my apartment.
i have lived there for two winters and have always turned my heat off completely and opened windowns due to how hot my apartment gets. but, i have a wall of windows facing south.
How is the heat currently in this building?
