I thought both of the realtors on CNBC were mostly incoherent.....i'm not sure if they were saying the market is strong or weak.

Weren't they mainly on there to show a couple of their high end properties? Nothing like free advertising...

Dolly seems to have put on some weight. Perhaps lack of sex or heavy drinking or both.

Dolly is a joke. This is the same woman who is trying to sell condos at manhattan house for $5 million. That building is absolutely horrendous.

It's Dotty people, not Dolly. Dottie is the owner of Prudential. Dolly is a country music singer!

Buy now, or be priced out forever.

As if homes could ever get so expensive that everyone would be priced out forever.

LMAO.

AgentRachel, she and Dottie are both scary. But in mostly different ways. Sometimes hearing Dottie speak I feel a wee bit sorry for her. Dolly? Never.

aboutready, you use antiquated terminology. What are you from Ireland?

'wee bit'
'piss off'

Who talks like that besides people 70 yrs old plus?

I'm glad to see you approaching 80 and just now aboutready to make a RE purchase.

As for both I. DOLLY LENZ (Superbroker of Prudential Douglas Elliman) and DOTTIE HERMAN (co-owner of Prudential Douglas Elliman), I'm sure their personal fortune is each 10x the combined of every poster on SE.

Its Dolly Lenz, NOT Dottie Herman the CEO of Elliman. Dolly is a big time broker, handling big time sales, so clearly she will talk to benefit the markets and move property.

I like Dolly's physique. Nothing wrong with a little meat!

But seriously, does CBNC get paid to put these Listing Ads up on air? It would be nice to get some real front line info on whats really happening, rather than broker babble and an advert for listings. Its always a great time to buy!!

Jackie Teplitzky came out recently with a reasonable, for a broker, take on today's market. I felt it enhanced her credibility immensely. I just can't see Dolly letting go of the ad-speak.

Urban, I can't remember her name but she was also with elliman. Maybe they breed evil, soulless brokers ;)

Seriously though, at least the wall street guys enjoy their piles of cash. These women are all work and no play. Plus their total b-----s. I don't know why anyone would want to work with them! The rich people i deal with are super cool and would hate DL.

Rachel,

I so agree w/ you. I have worked for wealthy, successful, high power, #1 in their field women and it's awful. Can't stand the type. Life is too short to have anything to do with these types.

well if you are in the same strata of high society, you are adored. If not, your beneath them usually. Not always, but usually. I have had same experience and was treated rather poorly, but I just keep quite and sell them their property

I hate to say this, but the successful women are the ones who I see this with. Have worked with/dated ;) tons of successful guys but this seems much more prevalent with the ladies sadly. Can't figure out why this is. Maybe they feel they have to prove themselves as women? Whatevs. I'm gonna keep doing what I'm doing and make sure to teach my kids good values so they don't end up empty and evil.

Urban, I can say that i have been treated nothing but nice by rich men (maybe they think i'm rich too or probably they are trying to get some) but not so nice by rich women. Actually, i have been treated fine by rich women who's husbands made them rich but not by those who are independently wealthy...

They are the way they are because they are narcissists.

There are people who are beautiful, successful, wealthy, etc, but they're way nicer cuz they're not narcissists.

the game is up folks. just reported by Jonathan Miller a few minutes ago on The Real Deal: Prices are down 20% for the 4th quarter. Check it out for yourself. Dottie and Dollie can't seem to get ahead of the tide. tsunamis are like that.

i think the thing to do is simply refuse to work with these types of people. i have to honestly say I don't know how Dolly keeps all these clients. Yes she is connected and knows the market but so do tons of other people who are nice and not just trying to make a buck no matter who gets hurt.

they actually got my quote wrong, I stated a range of 15-25% down with the properties with no special resale features being the hardest to sell. And they were not supposed to credit Halstead Property. I could get in big trouble for this. I had to call him to fix this and put right quote in.
