if it wasn't for a place like streeteasy, people would have no idea how long crap like that had been going on.
Elliman rewards bad behavior by highlighting all price changes, regardless of consequentiality, on their webpage for new and updated listings. If the firm would just make a small program change, this ploy would disappear.
