Discussion about
What is the average rate for a real estate attorney to purchase a new condo? The quotes I have heard have been all over the place.

Is a buyer's market, even for attorneys. One thing I have noticed and may or may not be true with all RE attorneys, they actually don't do the contract work. The ones I have hired have their legal assistants do the reading and negotiating. The only time the attorney shows up is when closing the deal. So you should get a few referrals and ask around to see if they are worth the price.

Thanks hofo, that is what I was thinking too. But yesterday I was quoted a minimum $2500 flat rate, seems high right?

Just got off the phone with an attorney that charges $3000. Can someone please give me the name of an attorney that has reasonable fees?
