At both open houses, I've asked "Why the qiuck turnaround," and gotten the exact same story from the respective agents: "Oh the seller moved in with lofty plans to renovate, but she's recently fallen ill and now needs to move." I believed it the first time, but the second time I started to wonder if this was a pre-packaged line. I suppose it doesn't matter much--a motivated seller is a motivated seller. The NYT had an article about people buying and having horrible neighbors (noise) and sold immediately. That's what would worry me the most. Neighbors!!
It was said that Daniel Boone would move every time he heard his neighbor's axe. Perhaps New Yorkers should do the same thing every time they hear their neighbor's dog, TV, or stereo. This city would soon be empty.
