Discussion about 375 West End Avenue #3CD
For the size this is far from over priced. I have been looking and there are no other 5 bedroom apartments with extra high ceilings on the market. I can't imagine who wrote some of those nasty things, they must be reallt angry for some reason.

beepops: Thanks for weighing in. Nyc10023 is the authority on that sector, so I'll defer. I took a shot at pricing the apartment on breakup value - a crude approach, admittedly. I haven't even seen it.

Oh dear, I guess you must be referring to me. Sorry if I came off as angry. I am not angry, just a little exasperated at what seems like another over-priced join. Maybe this is the original layout so the apartment makes some sense.

Just a short time ago, we went through a long thread and pretty much concluded that joins make sense for one individual family but make no sense in the marketplace and are very difficult to sell. At least this join is not the 5 million dollar, $5600 a month maintenance apartment that someone else has suggested recently. Of course, they hoped to buy it for $3 million. In the same vein, I'll give $1.3 million for this one.

Here is the other thread:

I guess I can only hope that there aren't that many rich families in New York who will join up all of the 2 bedrooms with adjacent 1 bedrooms so that my wife and I will never be able to buy a two bedroom.

beepops - I am not sure what you are expecting to read on Streeteasy Talk. I think everyone here would chime in: if you like the place, go for it, and don't give a hoot about others' expressions. Individuals have differing standards, even among the closest of spouses. It's not anger. I think individuals have their own certain standard, when it comes to the essence of a building, no?

Hey Falco,
So, you have gathered evidence that beepops is a Halstead(?) agent who hangs out here in order to try to create buzz about his or her listings? Interesting.

This definition seems to apply:

dis⋅in⋅gen⋅u⋅ous
lacking in frankness, candor, or sincerity.

If an agent is going to try to sell a listing on here, they should be honest about that fact. All of these fake posts from agents about how terrific this or that listing is, or how they have been looking at other 5 bedrooms (yeah right), are sleazy and only serve to damage their own reputations.

Same MO as the other property that beepops commented on: the same pink and white bouquet that is on the living room table magically appears later on top of one of the dressers in the bedroom.

Good catch. I am impressed you saw that, although the vase looks a little fatter in some of the shots, perhaps it is the lens.

You don't mess around with networked brains without paying a price.

Good sleuthing, people! Dear beebops - I know my "Edwardian" buildings - first off, this isn't a star building, and second, the combo wasn't done in a sensible fashion, and doesn't hew to the original layout. I don't want an open kitchen to the living and dining room in a prewar like this. Give me an EIK, with LR/DR in front.
