Discussion about
Has anyone had any success stories that they can share regarding ths use of no-condo.com? Anecdotes where buyers got their deposits back or pressured the developers into lowering prices would be much appreciated.
What NYC law firm does no-condo.com refer people to? I'm looking for a good real estate attorney / litigator to handle a new development re-negotiation. Curious if anyone has good referrals, no-condo.com or otherwise. Do any lawyers out there have a unique angle on recovering deposits or is it all the same strategy (hope the developer can't deliver on time or doesn't deliver what's in the offering plan)?
i spoke to no-condo and while they were very nice on the phone they were not able to help me. they seem to know Florida real estate much better then NY.
thedeuce, check on the Brompton thread. there is a respected real estate attorney who is representing groups from a few of the buildings, and I think the Lucida and Brompton are two of them, and maybe Manhattan House. Good luck.
No success yet, but who knows. We're at the point where my building's developer is going to be served a complaint letter from the court. The lawyer I'm using is in this article, page 2, from No-condo.com http://www.nypost.com/seven/02262009/realestate/battle_ready_156947.htm
No-Condo.com currently uses the Wilentz, Goldman, and Spitzer law firm for all contract rescission cases in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania (www.Wilentz.com) and other firms in other jurisdictions. Our law firms are currently in the process of negotiating, settling and litigating over twenty cases against condominiums located in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island City. We have already delivered favorable results for purchasers as a result of our expertise in federal and state consumer protection laws with more pending final judicial determination.
I will be curious as to the outcome of No condo at the Brompton...if they are successful, that firm will get a bastion of work.
Total scam. Waste of money.
The best they will be able to get in NY is an open dialogue with the developer for you to purchase a cheaper unit in the building.
If you're looking for your deposit money back and get out of your contract, they will not help you at all. They will just add to the money pit that you've created.
Another opportunist enterprise that preys on people who are already struggling with money.
hold on: spitzer?
No-Condo.com attorneys work on a contingency basis, which means there are no legal fees unless we are able to collect a portion or all of your deposit. Feel free to contact us as contact@no-condo.com or 1-877-964-1964 for additional information.
So if I used no-condo.com, is Eliot Spitzer going to be my attorney? If nobody is having success with the place, then that is your problem right there!
