Yuck, I would rather move to ALamaba than live in Williamsburg.

Really want to start that comparison?
Most of the world would rather live in Alabama than New Jersey.

Not sure Alabama has as many immigrant enclaves as NJ, so I disagree

At least alpine is finally picking on someone his own size.
Jersey vs. Alabama is a fairer fight.
Williamsburg can make fun of Jersey all day...

The average house in Bergen County is worth more than all the trailer parks in Alabama combined.

Actually, there is not a ton of correlation between short-and medium term swings in real estate prices and crime. And common sense points out that crime EXPLODED in the U.S. along with a real-estate boom in the late 70s and again in the 80s - including in NYC, but went DOWN in the 90s even as real estate cooled. Again, including in NYC. Or do you forget?

Drive Route 1, a fairly major thoroughfare through Jersey, and you might see more trailer parks than all of Alabama combined.
But, at least Alpine isn't trying to compare his home state to NYC anymore. Williamsburg closets cost more than most of the houses in New Jersey.
