@ 1:14 when the broker said "even qualifications". This only gets better.

5 months free? Now that's impressive. I'm trying to find a cheap 1-bed or studio for a friend in WB - hopefully we can come across a similar deal.

In WillyB the most offered for months free to my knowledge is 3 months.

FiDi has plenty of 4 month free places (Like Starck) check craiglist. HOwever, offering 4 months free on 5200 per month for a one bedroom 1000 SF loft is hardly a bargain when you can get a 2bd 2 bth in a doorman building a block away with washer dryer for $3900 per month.

And then there was the rental report showing certainly management companies lowered their prices by 19% or so... the month after they lowered by 15%.

All this, and no one is buying either. This is unprecendented, huge dips on sales and rentals. They usually offset each other.

Yeah, but the company you mentioned is STILL way above prices offered in similar listings. Generally, there are a LOT of condos and coops for rent by owners or by sponsers that are priced 10-25% essentially identical units owned by the big real estate companies (with the exception of Rockrose, which appears to get it.) So if you want to live in Lincoln Center, and get a 2-2 with WD in unit in a doorman building, why live ALL the way over at Trump Place for $1500 a month more for the same sized place?

True, these were the overpriced ones.

But, I've seen them ALL down. The cheapest landlords I knew in town - lots of clean walkups - are down 20% from just a few months back.

I'm waiting for the 12 months (yes as in continuous 12 months free :) ), at which point I'll hand it over to Julia.... cause I'm just that "wild and crazy guy!."
