Discussion about
ok, i cannot get a "conforming loan" for my mortgage because the coop LACKS the umbrella coverage insurance, so i got turned down by 2 banks~ seller broker says for me to get a "non-conforming" loan from the broker they recommended. what are the risks of having a "non-conforming" loan? i really feel like i'm gonna screwed by these brokers and the loan since it is not conforming will be hard to refinance if i need to. anyone know anything about the non-conforming loans? my attorney btw sucks, i need a new one that returns calls and actually looks into things thanks
Conforming loans are ones where the amount is under a threshold(like 400k) . Are you in Manhattan
yes, the loan is under 250k
can anyone recommend someone that can review my mortgage before i commit? i dont wanna be screwed and not sure if lawyer is upto this
Number 2 here-well amount is one criteria, then all the terms and conditions need to be satisfied-that is why yours is non-conforming. A good mtge broker will be more useful than a lawyer
hi, thanks:)
glad this board exists, can you recommend a broker?
thanks again
lawyer-john leggo in nyc- very very good
i recommend not using a broker = unnecessary middleman who will get in the way
#7- i know i know, thats why i'm fluxed, NO bank will give me a mortgage without the coop getting this umbrella insurance:(
This guy is getting turned down by banks left and right, but gets advice not to use someone who can get him a loan because that would be wasteful. I bet the person suggesting that did his own will, self medicates and got his life insurance over the internet
to number #9, read the f!@#$% post, im NOT getting turned down for the mortgage, the F#@## coop is!
my suggestion is to have your lawyer review it. when i bought my place, my lawyer was very upfront and ready to answer all questions from start to finish.
It is a loan with tatoos and a nose ring.
How are others buying in the building without the building have the 'correct' umbrella insurance. You may want to rethink this purchase. If you go to resell the place others will have the same problem and walk.
I agree, don't buy. More problems ahead.
