Hi - was wondering if anyone has any experience with this. I am looking to install a shallow glass shelf above the tub. The shelf will be at the end of the tub against the tile, but that is also the exterior wall of the building. The building is a 6-story late 30's early 1940's red brick building (we have about 80 units). My issue is, I'm not sure what was typically done with regards to construction. I know there are 3 wythes of brick on the exterior and I know I have tile and plaster on the interior but does anyone know what was typically between this? Is there a cavity? Any thoughts on how I can mount, or bridge the small cavity if there is one? I obviously don't want play on the interior where the wall is so that it cracks, even if I can securely mount this to the masonry beyond. Please advise. Thanks. [less]
