Hurricane Damage

my apt had the windows blown out during the storm (only apt in the building).at first the building board and management company were handling everything. then 2 months passed and the management company and board were failing to follow up with with the window company or communicate any delays, i had to raise my voice and they did not like it so they retracted all of their responsibilities of repairing the damage and claimed that since Sandy was an act of god their insurance doesn't cover it. i brought in my own contractor to complete the work and now i have to fight with the building. can anyone advise on how to handle this..
