We recently rented this unit and wanted to warn other tenants that the broker and landlord of this unit will not return your security deposit. After a thorough walk through and confirmation of damage amount (less than $500), and knowing we were moving across the country after we left, the owner informed us he was withholding almost $5000 of our security deposit. It took more than 45 days to get even some of our security deposit back, and for the rest we now have to file a claim in small claims court. The landlord is relying on the broker, who is claiming a $1500 "service fee" for getting the apartment back to its "original" state (even though the legal standard is "normal wear and tear"). I do not recommend renting this unit - also FYI there is a massive garbage dump being built one block away at Asphalt Green - see info here: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/26/opinion/a-promising-garbage-workaround.html?_r=0
Good luck in your apartment search!
