There is a no fee apartment available for $3200 unfurnished. Does anyone have a better deal out there? The building is pre-war doorman and the apartment is about 600sf. The location is amazing on 49th and lex. Please let me know.
49th and Lexington is not an amazing location by any stretch.
archstone clinton has many in that range and is rent stabilized so you will not get funny iincreases.
$3200 for 600 square feet, I can do better than that.
i just signed a one bedroom for $2350 on Jane Street...this did have a fee but it is rent stablized.
I would asume the one on Jane street has no doorman, no elevator
i live in a no-fee rental property that is post-war, 24hr concierge/doorman, laundry facility, and right near times sq and blocks from macys/herald sq. 1 bedroom is going for $3200, as well. nice separate kitchen... a few has pass-thru kitchens. there's a gym and laundry facility. and parking is also available too.
And this is a bargain?
where are the real New Yorkers gone? They were no suckers
hahha the burbs cuz they couldn't afford the rent increases hahah
Why is the upper eastside rental son in expensive particulary between 1st and 3rd ave from 75th to 85th steet? Looks like you can get a studio for around 2000 per month in a building that has a doorman, elevator, gym and swimming pool.
I beleive the upper east side is where you can get the best deals when it comes to rent.
ive heard
(sorry,} I read the upper East side rentals and sales have not yet been tapped so that market is good right now.
Up by Schurz Park/Gracie Mansion there are some wonderful buildings & views but everyone complains that it's so far to transportation. Perhaps that's the reason for the low rents?
rentals on 1st and 2nd on the UES are cheaper because they are too far from the subway + the young professionals/students who rent 1Brs/studios do not want to live there, so there is less demand. i speak as a renter.
Since you rent there how do you like living there? Besides transporation are there any othe negatives or posotives. I'm thinking about renting a unit on 82nd street between 1st and 2nd.I'm single but if I can get all the amentities I was wondering if it would be worth the extra few blocks of walking.
the 2nd ave subway,in the 90's, is a sure bet in the not too distant future.By next year,"they" say. Myself,I love the buses and the walking, just need the time.
