Discussion about
You know I feel like a budget of 5000/mo is pretty damn high but I guess not in this city... My criteria is pretty specific...I've been looking for a high floor 2 BR with a balcony/terrace in a full service high rise building that includes a roofdeck and a gym, would like floor to ceiling windows if possible. Im also pretty specific about neighborhoods too and would like Murray Hill/Kips Bay/Gramercy area. And no I wont live east of 2nd ave. Does such a place even exist?

I haven't lived in the neighborhood for a few years, but I think they exist. It depends what you mean by a 2-bedroom. 900SF with a decent size living room and small/medium bedrooms? Or 1200-1300SF with big rooms and a separate dining room (what some people call convertible 3-bedroom)? Also depends how much you care about the renovation.

Here's one in my old neighborhood, I'm sure there are many more:

You know I feel like a budget of 6000/mo is pretty damn high but I guess not in this city...

My criteria is pretty specific...I've been looking for a high floor 6 BR with a balcony/terrace off only the public rooms in a full service high rise building that includes a roof deck, gym, sauna, in-house catering, and 24-hour concierge. I would also like floor to ceiling windows and a fireplace in each room if possible.

Im also pretty specific about neighborhoods too and would like Murray Hill/Kips Bay/Gramercy area, only between Fifth and Lexington, either on an avenue or on an even-numbered street. And no I wont live east of Lex.

Does such a place even exist?

"And no I wont live east of 2nd ave." Ergo the post above mine does not count.

"the balcony is for smoking"

Well, you wouldn't want one of your guests to pull a Lexi.

That would ruin the whole dinner party.

East of 2nd, sky's the limit for your request, the Corinthian and a half dozen neighboring buildings.
Heck, I think you can buy a studio in Tudor City for a tank of gas these days.
