Discussion about Toren at 150 Myrtle Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn
I checked crime map and looks like it's covered by light red shading so I'm a little bit concerned about the safety there. http://www.trulia.com/real_estate/Downtown_DUMBO-Brooklyn/5084/ Can someone shed some light on the safety issue in the neighborhood? Much appreciated.

How light is the red shading? http://streeteasy.com/talk/discussion/27683-real-estate-agent-wont-comment-on-neighborhood
We lived in that area. Because of the nearby courts and the Fire Department and the neighborhood having a fake business, Metrotech Park is full of cops during the day, and there is obvious and active walk around security guards at night. But Toren is across a big street from all this good stuff. Check it out at night, and especially check out the Jay Metrotech subway station on a Saturday night, and see what you think. Trulia isn't lying, though. We didn't like the housing stock in Park Slope or Brooklyn Heights in our price range, but if we had to do it all over again, we would have moved to Brooklyn Heights instead of where we did move.
what type of crime are you speaking of ?
FHA violations, obviously. You can't talk about crime.
