Discussion about
Hey everyone! I'm currently working on getting my real estate license and was wondering if you could work in the United States ( New York) and also assist customers internationally? For example, helping a customer sell their beach house in the Bahamas or help clients buy a home in Italy. Is this anyway possible? How would you go about doing this? As in licensing and any other steps. Thank you.
You can do it, and may be subject to the licensing and real estate laws of the country where your clients are, or where the real estate you're showing/selling is. It may be best to affiliate youself with an agency that regularly handles international clients and locations (Sotheby's real estate division, for example).
I would think the problem would be the same as doing national referral business (and I do a lot of LA to NY C and London to NYC relos)... If you're not on the ground, you need to have the person on the ground to have the same standards as you do, and that's tough. But I'd look into getting a CIPS or a TRC.
