Discussion about
Another one on renovations regarding paint colors. I am planning to paint the rooms in 3 colors, using Benjamin Moore's Aura series: Off-white or beige (everywhere except bedrooms), green and blue (for the bedrooms). Looking for something soothing and comfy to the eyes. Opinions on getting which one (e.g. Mascapone, Linen White) for each color? The apartment is facing south with pretty good light exposure.

Pottery Barn is giving free sample booklets with suggested colors. Good luck.
Mynycse,
I would suggest you hire a designer for a 1hr consultation. That should cost about anywhere from $150.00-$300.00 but worth it.
Just painted my living room/foyer with Benjamin Moore's "White Winged Dove". (Yes, I did have the Fleetwood Mac song stuck in my head the whole time.)
It's a pale grey bordering on off-white, we're very happy with it.
Keep to greens with a more brownish undertone. Earthy greens tending towards sage or moss are more "restful" than the more "alive" minty greens.
Blue with a touch of grey are also very restful.
So is hospital-white, super-saturated accent colors, and an Ambien.
No idea what your light will make this look like, but White Down for walls and Marscapone for mouldings is very nice combination. For ceilings I prefer Simply White. All are Benj Moore colors.
Primer05,
any designers you'd recommend?
Hello SRZ,
I would use BuiltinStudio (www.builtinstudio.com) 347-599-1054 Gary Eisner and Terence Kinee. They both have a strong background in architecture and are very easy to work with
i used "buy my eye" from perianth design for a 4 hr consultation for layout, paint colors and window treatments. we were extremely pleased.
try http://www.debraklingcolourconsultant.com/ great, and very reasonable.
We just finished using Annapolis Green in our home office and it looks great. Silver Lake and Pebble Beach in Living and Bedrooms (not really off-white but if light grey with a blue hue is a consideration, check it out), Vanilla Ice Cream in the master bathroom. Very happy with our color selections...
