Discussion about
I live in a large, well-run building and recently went on a bit of a redecorating spree. As a result, I'm having a bunch of furniture delivered from various vendors. Am I a sucker for adhering to building policies and making each delivery service get a COI listing the building and managing agent? Do most people actually do this, or do most buildings let it slide if you don't? Obviously, I can't really ask the managing agent...

Go to your Super and talk to him/her. There is a chance that the companies/stores you bought the furniture from already have a COI on file with the building. On the other hand, if there is no COI listed with your building you will have to call the stores with your building's contact info. There might not be a need to contact your managing agent.

Great advice to confer with super. I'd do whatever makes the super happy. And yes, most major vendors will likely have docs on file with your building already if it is sizable.
