can someone explain why this building requires a contractor to carry 10 million dollars worth of insurance for renovations while every other building in the city requires an average of 3 million, sometimes a bit more for electrical. It would cost a contractor 70K a year to carry 10 million dollars of insurance. And this is for painting. Hmm… Managing agent refers residents to "their contractor"… interesting…

The price of insurance will be worked in to the amount The Stanford will pay to have the work done.

Ellen,
I increased my umbrella to 5 mil as more and more buildings are asking for it. If i needed to get 10 mil I would have to pass that onto the client.

It does sound a little fishy that the management co even has a "contractor"

Primer: Peppy Le Pew!
Does the managing agent refer to (what they call) "their contractor", who is actually the Sponsor's contractor?
(I'm just speculating here, haven't checked that Building's info.) If there is a Sponsor and the Sponsor is a member of the Board, the managing agent may be getting in on some $$ kick-back action.

When I was in C0lumbia C0unty, it was strongly suggested that I used the preferred manure provider.
